
This introductory level seminar provides a broad overview of crime scene investigation for first responders, detectives, and attorneys. Includes the history of crime scene investigation, crime scene management, crime scene safety, and key roles and responsibilities of first responders and field investigators.
Topics further include the vital importance of documentation at crime scenes, locating, evaluating, and proper collection and preservation of fingerprint, footrack, tiretrack, ballistic and blood spatter evidence for future scientific analysis and courtroom presentation. Various case studies will be discussed.
